It will also produce a good floricane crop, ripening slightly earlier than Jewel, depending on location. Niwot is vigorous, highly productive, and has attractive, shiny fruit. The berry size is equal in size to Jewel, flavor appears to be milder than other Black Raspberries. It is a vigorous variety, Niwot grows in zones 5 8 compairable to the Jewel.
