Antique Dutch 19th Century Jewelry Box in Beautiful Old Natural Tortoise Shell, 6" x 3" x 2" Id'd initially purchased to wearDomed top and serpentine form on this elegant mid late 1800s jewelry box, the last of my decades long collection being closed out. The top is semi transparent shell so you can see the beautiful mottles of cognac to chocolate of the shell, while the rest of the box is in wood with tortoise shell veneer. It does have an ivory lip, and ivory feet (one slightly different and apparently a replacement). Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good
