Clair Obscur Maranges Rouge Sur le Bois Sud 2022 BFCM23FLASH Characterized by manzanitaSur le Bois Sud is one of two Maranges plots Pierre and Jennifer Clair acquired in 2015 and converted to biodynamics right away. Maranges sits at the southern tip of the Cote de Beaune and tends to give Pinot Noir a bit more structure and dark fruit. Pierre worked the vines at Domaine de Montille and d'Angerville before building this small 3. 5 hectare estate. The reds are made naturally, with minimal additions. This is the most serious of their crus.
