My partner David's side belong to the Iwi (indigenous Maori tribe) called Ngāti Tūwharetoa who are based in this area and his marae (sacred communal place) is on the shores of Lake Taupō

Reinga means underworld and Te Rerenga Wairua means leaping-off place of spirits

This is an expression of how I feel about this place and I hope that you can also find some personal significance in this art
