Slyrs '51' Single Malt Bavarian Whisky (case of 6) LOCATION:CW a 12-year-old single malt ScotchPlenty of intrigue on the nose, with floral top notes, light vanilla fudge, the juiciness of blood orange, pomegranate, and a sprinkling of whole pepper. Syrupy texture with flavors dominated by pears, slowly overcome by the long buildup of spicepepper, clove, and cinnamonwith a final act of black cherry, black currant jelly, and praline. Dilution provides a shortcut to those fleshy dark fruits. Quite delicious and heartily recommended.
