A practical yet beautifully shapedA very interesting and authentic antique side handled earthenware pitcher from the Western French countryside, of good scale and featuring a deep brown applied glaze externally and speckled dark yellow glaze internally. The texture is lovely and ever so slightly crackled at a tiny scale, whilst the only condition reports of note are a couple of blunt chips most notably to the spout tip.
