One of China's many ethnic minorities, the Miao live mainly in the Southern provinces particularly Guizhou and are well know for their embroidered clothing as well as their ornate silver jewellery. The hemp and cotton fabric used for our cushions is taken from old Miao costumes dating from the mid 20th century. These
