Wolf dog of Alsace by Henri Pétrilly Wolf dog perhaps even the kitchenA 1930s study of a proud Alsace shepherd dog in a patinated bronze finish sitting on a black base. French Animalier sculptor Henri Ptrilly (1875 1960) produced this accomplished figure cast in plaster with a bronze finish and showing exquisite detail. The metal plate on the front of the base reads Chien Loup DAlsace by Ptrilly. On the right side of the base the engraved inscription reads JB Paris depose (registered) 206, with the signature of H.
