Mem (62) BIGC ARCHIVE A study of these extantDictyospory is prevalent and widespread in the Loculoascomycetes and vast numbers of taxa are known in this class. They present considerable diversity, not only in ascospore shape, pigmentation, sequence and numbers of septa formed, but in characteristics of ascus, hamathecium, peridium and ascoma. This study presents the results of analyses of these features in genera of families belonging to the Pleosporales sensu Barr. Includes descriptions of 82
