Evening in the Rocky Mountains Size:16"x20" The ice in the water

The ice in the water is from the Sawyer Glacier which is just around the corner in this image

However one particular marking is at the State Capitol where engraved on a step leading to the west entrance and looking towards Civic Center Park is the indicator of "One Mile Above Sea Level"

This is used to transport passengers about 40km to the nearby airport of Nerlerit Inaat (which was also where I flew into from Iceland)

Evening in the Rocky Mountains Size:16"x20" The ice in the waterOn a fall evening I ventured to a location above Clear Creek Canyon just prior to sunset. As I watched the sunset over the Rocky Mountains I started photographing the traffic heading through the canyon on a full moon evening. As the traffic made its way through the canyon below the light from the moon illuminated the landscape as the clouds moved through the evening dusk.
