"Tiger Paws" 1968-1984 being unloaded behind a Chevrolet

"Tiger Paws" 1968-1984 being unloaded behind a ChevroletIve always been amazed at the color contrasts of the black 1967 427 Corvettes, especially with the contrasting red hood stinger. In 2009 Michael Soares, who owned two such Corvettes, commissioned a painting of his cars. This year I created Tiger Paws, using my photos of his 67s but adding red line tires to both and using a U. S. Royal Tiger Paw advertisement on the wall.

Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager owns the 1963 Z06 Corvette in the image and wanted it placed in front of Mid America’s headquarters and its vintage drive-in neon sign

There have been a number of changes since my earlier painting of Arthur Bryant’s Barbecue in 1989 when its founder was still living

I chose Watkins Glen for the setting
