"Pepe's of Key West" Key West Series CaliforniaThe sixth painting of my Key West Series, Pepes of Key West, features the Eldest Eating House in the Florida Keys on Caroline Street in Key West. The food is excellent, three meals daily either inside or outside on the dirt floored patio. Ive always been fascinated by the small building and the shadows of the awning. Finally I captured a photo of a man walking past late in the afternoon, casting the shadow of his straw hat on the front of the place.
