Here the nose is also discreet and brooding with incredible aromatic breadth that includes similar violet notes but the fruit profile is more black and red than blue plus a kaleidoscopic array of spice elements

and wonderfully ripe tannin in the intense finish that must last for 40+ seconds

By contrast the elegant and refined flavors are a good deal more reserved that are like silk on the mid-palate though the hugely long and moderately finish tightens up in a real rush

Both 2013s are clearly the finest Eisele wines made under the administration of François Pinault and his top lieutenant
