Clear Winter Day Size:18"x24" I didn't think much of

I didn't think much of this until maybe fifteen minutes later when the sun came out

After a day of snowshoeing up the road I was heading back and stopped at the west end of Lake McDonald just after sunset

With the nice day there were plenty of people out jogging and riding their bikes for fun as well as to/from work

A few weeks earlier I captured the fall colors around the Governor's Mansion and thought it would be a good comparison to photograph around there during this late snowfall once again working the lines into the image

Heading to a familiar location I set up my camera and waited in the chilly conditions

Clear Winter Day Size:18"x24" I didn't think much ofIn 2008 I headed to Glacier National Park and explored the park in the winter months. This is quite different than in the summer due to much less of the park open and the numbers of visitors quite less at this time. On this day I believe I saw around 10 people in the park while exploring on snowshoes. Lake McDonald is pictured in this image from the shoreline just prior to sunset on a pleasant day to explore Glacier.
