As some of our stormy and overcast conditions have moved on I headed to the same spot in late September this year as well to capture a similar image at sunrise

The 4th of July in the United States is a time to celebrate the birthday of the country which includes firework displays

The fog diffused the sun and the rays turned orange

I did photograph that tree but decided to explore the park for a little while as the wet snow continued to fall

there was always some activity happening at this location

Sunrise Shapes Presentation:Print Only As some of our stormyWalking around the sand dunes of Death Valley National Park gives the opportunity to experience varying conditions with the light and shadows of the surface. While walking across the hardpan between sand dunes I looked towards the sunrise and noticed how the early light was illuminating the surface. To photograph this contrast I got a little lower and also found a line in the hardpan to bring your eye into the scene and towards the sunlight.
