An old unusual large grooving bench plane (tongue and groove) with a short ranged adjustable fence

Condition: I was wondering if the hole at the top where the spring is should maybe have a screw however there is no thread in the hole or at the end of the hole so I am guessing the hole is a design feature

1st Royal Dragoons 105 Cap Badge CAN An old unusual large groovingA bi metal cap badge with an eagle wearing a wreath standing on a plinth labelled '105'. We believe this to be 1st Royal Dragoons 105, Captured Eagle cap badge from WWI. We are new to badges so only have limited knowledge at present. Condition: the beam at the back has been bent over (presumably to make a tighter fit) please see photos for condition
