Sunrise in Juneau Size:18"x24" After an early season snowfall

After an early season snowfall in the mountains the fall colors are given an extra element of fresh snow on the peaks

It was a nice overcast fall afternoon which allowed for some even light on the location as I prepared to take the image once again for Thirty Days

It was an interesting morning weather wise as some change is in the air

As we reached the summit of Hallet Peak

I headed back towards the Mendenhall Glacier

Sunrise in Juneau Size:18"x24" After an early season snowfallI was looking out the window at the clouds moving just prior to sunrise. I grabbed my camera and quickly headed down to the Gastineau Channel just as the sun was rising for the last day of November. With some clouds around the sky started to light up over some mountains with fresh snow on them from the rain earlier in the week. The colorful skies lasted for a little while before the overcast skies moved back in for the remainder of the day.
