My observation has been that "Ukon" is considerably slower and smaller

Looks like a cross between Acer shirasawanum and Acer palmatum

Heavily serrated leaves emerge a soft pink and white with a pronounced dark vein  changing to a darker pink for the summer and red for the fall

the leaves appear crystalline

Pale green in spring
