we ran into a family of mountain goats

One of the biggest challenges photographing in the snow is to keep the lens clear of snow

Well I think this image pretty much sums up an early August afternoon in Juneau

It was an evening when aircraft were taking off to the north which allowed me to get a little closer then when I did a similar image in 2008 south of the airport

I have done this at the southern end of the park before but this was my first time finding it on the north end of Civic Center Park

Sunset from Sloans Lake Reflection we ran into a familyI was driving home on a November afternoon and as I approached Sloans Lake noticed the sunset over my shoulder and how the rays were filtering through and lighting up the sky. It was the area I was thinking of photographing on this day and I quickly made my way to a point on the east side of the lake facing the mountains. With the sunset standing out people who were walking around the lake stopped to take it in as well getting a special treat on this
