Provenance: at some stage of this bear's life he became the property of an American girl called Dorcas Aunger who entered him into a doll contest in 1944 run by the Department of Playground and Recreation City of Los Angeles where she won first place (see photo's)

She has exceptional mohair coverage She is approximately 17 inches tall and has her original label on her left side although the printing is no longer visible

He is 18" inches tall with his luscious coats in excellent condition for his age. One of his ears needs a stitch.
