In the July morning a nice layer of dew drops were present around the area near the pass which I photographed for quite some time before moving on to other subjects in the area

It was still nice to get out and watch the first morning of the year start with Denver as a backdrop

However about 15 minutes later I saw them heading back towards the downtown area of San Diego and found a location to capture them in the morning light with the skyline in the background as well

Trying to minimize my tracks in the fresh snow I took a view from a distance and thought minimal colors due to the weather

Just like five years ago it snowed today in Denver and this snow is giving us a little more than in 2008

Columbine Along the Trail Presentation:Matted In the July morning aDuring the summer of 2009 I hiked to Jasper Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. Many of the wildflowers in the area were starting to peak which made a nice hike even more memorable. On the way down from the lake, I noticed the collection of Columbines right next to the trail and having a camera with me captured this image.
