Wob-a-ly Walk (1928-1932) Quartet 78 collectors have long prizedNo band ever captured the freewheeling, exuberant zaniness of the 1920s better than Irving Aaronson and His Commanders. In press releases, Aaronson emphasized again and again that his was an "entertaining band," one which had a full complement of comedy, eccentric dancing, and unique vocal stylings in addition to first rate dance music. Even with the passage of many decades, the records made by Aaronson and company are still dynamic, lively fun.
