Village & Clouds european painting Date: 190720th Century French School oil on isorel signed by E. Maillaud (active at the beginning of the 20th century). The artwork is smooth to the touch. An Impressionist landscape with visible brushstrokes on the vegetation and clouds. The architecture of the village is detailed and the contrast of the two gives a nice depth to the vista. The luminosity is discreet and lightly tinged with blue which harmonizes with the lively luster from the wooden frame.
