The afternoon light also provided a nice shadow of the iceberg which I was sure to position into the frame as well for this image

The solid white lines are the landing lights

These approach also give a nice perspective of the building itself

With some traffic restrictions in the area I was able to have a little more flexibility with where I could stand on Lincoln Avenue to position the reflection in the ideal spot of the building mixing the branches of government into one image

On the day I visited there was a little breeze which allowed the flags to move with the wind

Ice at South Sawyer Glacier Building The afternoon light also providedOn the day I visited Tracy Arm and South Sawyer Glacier, there was plenty of ice in the area in front of the glacier as our boat slowly made its way around the area giving us view of the glacier. At this point instead of being on top of the boat where most people were viewing, I headed to the back which allowed me to get close to the water. From this perspective I am able to capture the ice in the picture and help tell the story of that day.
