Ridges in the Mountains Size:24"x36" Instead of zooming in on

Instead of zooming in on the island I decided to include a little of the shoreline in this image to help provide perspective of the area and the size of the island

As the shadow went off into the distance I used an aperture to let the shadow slowly go out of focus as it went into the distance and off of the frame

On a windy spring day I was able to head up to the clock tower of East High School

while the wood on the left is facing east

Ridges in the Mountains Size:24"x36" Instead of zooming in onHeading south on the Alaska Railroad from Fairbanks to Anchorage is quite an experience. In early March one year I took this trip and was fortunate to have nice conditions, and yes cold, as the train made the twelve hour journey. As we passed through the Alaska Range the low clouds provided scenic views along with temperatures near zero as I watched from an open window in the train.
