友禅で染められた更紗（さらさ）紋様の小紋から。

斜めに染められた絞り柄と花弁から、風に舞う花々をあらわしたように見えます。

奈良時代にはすでに人々に人気の植物で、紅葉狩りを行って楽しんでいたといいます。

また、流水文様も悪いものを「祓う」吉祥文様とされています。

光琳松は名前の通り尾形光琳が描いた松をアレンジした松文様で、松は「威厳」「長寿」の象徴とされます。江戸時代の暖簾はこのように吉祥のモチーフを絵柄として使うことが多かったといいます。
