This particular place is Snowy Canyon near St George Utah. The park features sand dunes, lava caves, several vista trails and blazing summer heat. Our walk across the lava fields was one of our most dangerous hikes due to the intense heat and lack of shade. Luckily when we found a lava cave where it was at least 30 degrees cooler
