Over the city there was clouds but as you looked out towards the mountains it was blue sky

This image was taken in 2010 of the Denver Skyline as the city continues to grow

the colors were vivid still from the last fall color in the city

A new year has begun and I took the opportunity to photograph the first sunrise of 2013 in Denver

but not before saying Welcome to Glacier National Park

New Years Day Morning in Denver Size:24"x36" Over the city there wasFor the first morning of 2014 I headed out to photograph the skyline of Denver as I have done the past couple of years. This morning there was a system which was moving through which prevented a colorful sunrise as we have had the past couple of years. It was still nice to get out and watch the first morning of the year start with Denver as a backdrop. As I left the location some snowflakes were present as well.
