Observatory Park in the Winter Size:16"x20" Located about a mile east

Located about a mile east of Downtown Denver

Some of the more noticeable reminders of the past are the large hangars which remain

Today I was in the area and thought about photographing the same scene without the snow

The result was the distance starting to become out of focus and let the viewer imagine their own thoughts on the location

Observatory Park in the Winter Size:16"x20" Located about a mile eastThe Chamberlin Observatory is located at Observatory Park near the University of Denver. The observatory originally opened in 1890 and features a 20 inch refracting telescope. As a late January snow fell on the city I was out exploring new locations to photograph in the snow and found myself at the park. The flakes filled the sky and made the park into a snow globe feel on a day when the observatory itself would also just need to enjoy the scene.
