Cathiard's Malconsorts in 2020 lands on that knife edge: the deep red clay of this climat (the upper middle slice, directly adjacent to La Tche) gives ripeness real lift, and Sbastien's restrained hand keeps everything in line. The result is plush, pure, and lifted modern Burgundy at its most coherent.
