we have modernised our version to add bevelled glass panels in the upper doors rather than the open lattice doors that are seen on originals

with its doors mounted on wooden dowels that fit directly into the frames and a slightly tapered profile

It includes a metal stay to hold the lid open when required

but also makes a great bedside table or lamp stand

The spaces behind the fixed panels either side of the doors are accessible, and the cabinet has a single removable shelf inside.
