Looking down the road I had noticed the contrast of the two fields ahead and now the plane overflying one of those fields which got me thinking

This made for an interesting drive home

From this perspective I am able to capture the ice in the picture and help tell the story of that day

This allows the viewer to have a sense of place but puts the attention on the snow in the fresh spring growth

In 2008 I headed to Glacier National Park and explored the park in the winter months

Skater's Cabin at Night Presentation:Photobox Looking down the road IThe skies have cleared and the full moon allowed for some evening photography during a November week in Juneau. With these conditions, I headed to Skaters Cabin which is along Mendenhall Lake. Upon arriving at the parking area for the cabin it was cool and clear and the moon was just rising over the Juneau Ice Field. This allowed for a long exposure as the moon providing the lighting this evening. After taking this image I walked over to the lake
