For a scene like this a longer lens (telephoto) works best since it lets you get close to the fireworks and capture their detail

As I worked through a salvage yard one day taking photographs I came across a collection of old house radiators in a stack

The lines and angles are intriguing on their own

This is no longer the case as the motel has been closed
