Using some trees in the area as well as the historic buildings in the foreground I zoomed in on the tower just after sunset to capture this image

This image is one of those which you will commonly see when departing from Juneau

On the day I visited there was a little breeze which allowed the flags to move with the wind

Palouse Presentation:Matted This image was taken inThe rolling fields of the Palouse as seen in the late afternoon from Steptoe Butte. The Butte is a high point in the Palouse area of Eastern Washington providing the birds eye view of the area. As the sun started to set, I used a long lens to capture some of the details of the rolling fields in this fertile area of the land.
