It is similar to the swords produced by Nashville Plow Works during the War. Weapons used by the Confederacy tended to be heavier and more cumbersome than their Northern counterparts in part due to often using materials at hand (i. e., a plow tine) to craft weapons and, in part, due to preference of procurement officers.
