I started up the steep trail at 5:15 am to catch the sunrise at the lake and the Continental Divide

I glanced skyward to check the clouds which happen to be altostratus clouds

This summer sunrise was spectacular and majestic with a mist coming off Wildflower Lake and the magnificent colors changing from one minute to the next

The forecast this July summer morning was to be sunny with some cloud cover

With the wind moving briskly over Wildflower Lake
