Musée No:873.011 figures Set of Six EggsArtist: Grace Joel Roses Date: 1894 c Grace Joel was the first daughter of a cultivated and well connected Jewish family who believed strongly in the value of education, including education for young women. She studied at the National Gallery School in Melbourne in 1888 89 and returned there in 1891 returning to her family in Dunedin where she established herself as a professional artist. Roses dates from this period. Eager to further establish her
