My inspiration for creating this portrait comes from the birds of Guatemala

The embroidery is done in a variety of stitches in mostly shades of rose

and we cannot see when the problems will end

I reflected on my life and each of the struggles I have faced

This work of art was designed and hand stitched by Flora Tejaxn Chuy, member of the Sumpango embroidery group. Nine intricate and colorfully embroidered birds are framed by an indigo cloth. Each bird is different and full of life! This would brighten up any wall in the home or office.
