The morning light was filtering through the bluish/purple/grayish storm clouds and some lightning was coming through

rich and bright colors appears over Wildflower Lake

I decided to call it a day

There were many false sunflowers in bloom on this early October morning from this prairie in Northern Illinois

A MORNING SNOWFALL Size:10x15 GALLERY WRAP Spiderwort and its small delicateAfter receiving 2 3 inches of snow during the morning hours, I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this Sunday afternoon. The temperature was in the mid 20's with a mild wind of 5 8 mph. It was mostly overcast with some sun breaks. The soft lighting during this time made for some nice images of the box elder trees and their reflections onto Eakin Creek West. (685 3450)
