Stonehorse by Kaesler Grenache Region:Barossa Valley Fresh mint leaves and Sicilian84% grenache from vines planted '30, 16% grenache planted '85, matured in used French barriques for 15 months. Has retained good colour for a blend such as this; a strongly spicy, floral bouquet, then a bright medium bodied palate that carries its alcohol well; here a savoury web lies around plum and rhubarb fruit flavours, the tannins just sufficient precisely where they should be.
