It was handmade and hand carved in the 18th century, and has a stunning dark lacquer finish. The cabinet has all of its original metalwork, however, it does have some age related marks and it has had some repairs overtime. The hand painted illustrations are what truly showcase the quality of this piece as they are bursting with symbolism. The red flowers symbolise the longevity
