這件手工上色銅版畫約為19世紀自然史圖像脈絡中的紙本作品，描繪一隻側身行走的花豹。牠修長的身形、低伏的頭部與密布斑點的皮毛，以細密銅版線條刻畫，再經手工上色，使畫面在博物學的觀察之外，也保留了舊時代圖像特有的溫度。

這件毛線帽為日本製作，約為1940–1960年代作品，屬於當時面向美國市場的外銷品，後由南十字書屋於日本購藏。帽身以翠綠色毛線圈織而成，表面點綴亮片裝飾，使原本柔軟蓬鬆的帽型多了一層明亮而俏皮的光。
