and inlaid with fine brass strapping that is a stylized French fleur de lys

to wonderful effect

I can point out that there is a section of verdure worked into/onto the old tapestry lower left which works very well and seems like bushes

These would have originally been fitted to their own leather or perhaps crocodile/alligator leather valise

I see no chips or cracks in the mother of pearl and the interior has just a bit of darkening around the edges of the fabric and only a slight bit of fraying. The tip of the pencil looks like it needs a better sharpening :). See pictures for measurements.
