The plant has bulbous tentacles that produce a glistening, sticky fluid (mucilage). This glue contains a weak acid and enzymes that can digest the soft tissue of their prey. When an insect is caught, adjacent tentacles are able to move towards it and further envelop and digest the prey. Size Tendrils reach around 4 cm
