As it spins, the bristles agitate carpet fibers to loosen embedded dirt and debris for a deeper clean. Brush bristles flatten, fray, and wear short over time, and a worn brush roll loses carpet contact so the vacuum no longer digs dirt out of the pile. A fresh brush roll restores even bristle contact and full deep cleaning ability. Fits: Advance
