This textured yarn is Bulky & Thick & Thin & hand dyed by Fleece Artist in Nova Scotia. This soft and cozy hat fits comfortably. I worked it on much smaller needles than the yarn was designed for. Making the hat very dense, especially by the ears where you need the warmth the most. Fits heads 21 23" around. We do recommend that you hand wash
