I bought these for my '83 Sporty with 35mm slider tubes. The larger 2 1 4" end will fit over the rubber fork boots perfectly. Well, a little snug. The smaller 1 7 8" end is too large for the 35mm tubes. I found out that the 45400 75 Harley fork seals (1 pair 35mm Sportster) fit around the tubes and their 1 7 8" outside dia fit inside the smaller end of your boots.
