Maison Skyaasen, Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc Gamay no surprises therePlace: Burgundy, France Grape: Chardonnay Vibe: Natural, textural Old Meursalt vines here, planted over limestone soil resulting in peak depth and complexity. White and citrus fruits abound, with layers of almond and acacia florals that just keep on coming. Finessed as per all things Skyaasen, this punches way above its humble Cte d'Or designation. I love technicalities, especially when they mean that wine this good is priced this well. ABV: 12%
